The Gransfors Bruks Axe File is a safe and compact tool designed for repairing heavy damage to the cutting edge of your axe. It comprises of a double-sided, fine-toothed iron file, fitted with a small wooden handle; the handle is thicker at the file end to provide a safer grip.

If your axe becomes damaged during use, it is recommended that you use this Axe File to repair the area first. Afterwards, the Gransfors Bruks Axe Stone can be used to restore the cutting edge.

The Gransfors Bruks Axe File can be used dry, but it is recommended that you use it with a small amount of water. After sharpening your axe, Woodlore recommend the use of Ice Bear Camellia Oil to protect the blade from rust and corrosion.
